Your last chance of the year to come along for Cooking in the Kitchen Garden!
Taking place outside (with cover / shade) in our two-acre restored Kitchen Garden, village resident Amy Claridge's Cooking in the Kitchen Garden cooking demos feature simple-to-cook dishes (well, they have to be as she cooks with just a single gas flame!) that show off the wonderful Kitchen Garden produce grown throughout the year by head kitchen gardener Gavin Roberts and his team of volunteers.
Everything cooked is seasonal and fresh but the good news is that once Amy has finished the dish it's your job to polish it off. Take the recipes home. There is always an opportunity to look round the Kitchen Garden during the demo.
Dishes will include: Tomato & Ginger Soup, Kitchen Garden Beans with Heat & Spices, Pesto Potatoes, Caramelised Kitchen Garden Figs & Fruit and Kitchen Garden Ice-cream. Amy will also be bringing along, to taste, home-made Piccalilli and Singapore Sauce (from last month's demo).
It's free to attend, and no need to book. Just turn up on the day in time for the 11am start and get comfy. We finish around 1pm/1.30pm but no worries if you want to stay for just one dish.
See you there!
