Group Visits

A big thank you to you and all the staff, who made our visit yesterday such a success. The guides were as usual very knowledgeable and funny! The food was excellent and thanks for ensuring we had vegetarian options.  Please pass on our thanks to all involved. (December 2009)

One big thank you to your staff for giving us a great day out.  Your guides were very much appreciated giving us so much information about the house.  The meal was very good and everybody enjoyed it.  The 2 vegetarian ladies were over the moon with their dinner and said it was the best they had had in all our 8 country house and castle visits.  The bauble barn was very impressive and so was the butchery dept. and shop.  Nobody came away empty handed.  Your plum bread and pork pie were delicious... once again a big thank you. Many thanks for the excellent visit yesterday (August 2009). Your guides were fantastic, they had such knowledge and a very friendly manner which was much appreciated. I think that the visit has encouraged many to come again, particularly in the spring as recommended by the Head Gardener. Surprisingly many did not know of your existence but are now happily passing the news on to their friends. Congratulations also to the catering team who provided a superb lunch very promptly and again with such a friendly manner. You are obviously a happy team – and it shows. Thanks for all your help and the efficient way that it was all arranged.

Just to let you know everyone enjoyed their visit to the gardens very much, and quite a few will be back bringing their friends... a lot of photographs where taken... My grandson liked the seats cut from the old tree stumps when we walked the nature trail...The Littlehouse was very popular ... and the tea and home made cakes very enjoyable. Many also said what a lovely church and the stained glass windows were greatly admired... I also remembered to buy some more Lincolnshire sausages... in the farm shop. Thank you for all your help in arranging this group visit.- Valerie Leonardi & Members of Nottingham C.H.A. Rambling Club
