Kitchen Garden
Just wanted to say thank you so much to Amy and her colleagues for the cookery demonstration this afternoon. (August 2011.) My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the morning but had to slip off before the last dish was prepared, and we did not like to interrupt so did not get a chance to thank everyone. It was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with some banter thrown in. I think my daughter will eat the Cretan courgette salad I intend to make. We grow wonderful carrots, so I have no excuse for not trying to make Halva! All the recipes were a little different from the norm, and Amy had such a lovely, lovely way of inspiring us to go forth and experiment with produce from our kitchen garden. Please would you thank Amy for a lovely morning; I have signed up to receive news of further demonstrations, so look forward to seeing her again.

The Cooks Tour event today was absolutely fabulous. It surpassed both of our expectations. Amy was wonderful, with loads of experience. She had her own little cookbook which she gave to us and on our way around the garden we picked things. I got lots and lots of ideas and she cooked a risotto with all the produce that we picked as we went around. An absolutely splendid visit.

Would just like to say a big thanks for the free cookery demonstration which you do at Doddington (Cooking in the Kitchen Garden). Have attended the last three and it has been a truly enjoyable event each time, very entertaining and great food. Have cooked lots of the things demonstrated and all have gone down very well!!
