Iris Week at Doddington (24-31 May)
We are currently enjoying our first Iris Week. During Iris Week the Gardens are open every day. From 24 to 31 May inclusive you're invited to enjoy our wonderful famous irises every day in the Walled West Garden and also discover and explore our Ornamental Gardens and Kitchen Garden as well. Iris Week also includes a very special RHS Sunset over the Irises with tour & buffet evening event on the Thursday (28th) that promises to be magical.
On Wednesday 27 May and Sunday 31 May, the House as well as the Gardens will be open. The House is open 1pm to 5pm; the Gardens are open from 11am. Admission applies.
If you decide to enjoy Iris Week on Thursday, then why not coincide your visit with our delicious CakeWatchers? Our Farm Shop Cafe is open all week so if you would like to enjoy lunch with us you're very welcome but reservations are advised by calling 01522 688 581.
On Wednesday 27 May, we have some fantastic fun for children in our two-acre restored Kitchen Garden. Children are invited to discover a world of ‘mini beasts’ and decide whether or not they are friends or enemies of the gardener with our knowledgeable education officer Catherine Lee. Children will also be able to crush freshly picked herbs and smell their delicious aromas…what food do they think the herbs will taste good with? For the avid explorers, a map is provided so little adventurers can explore the Kitchen Garden and spot the different produce! Fantastic educational fun for children - parents / guardians will love it too. Available between 11am and 5pm. No additional cost; included in the price of admission. No need to book. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
