DODDINGTON DELIGHTED AT AWARD NOMINATIONS!
September 26th, 2008
Doddington Hall is currently waiting with baited breath as a finalist in several awards.
The Farm Shop & Cafe is a finalist in two categories of the prestigious Farm Retail Awards from the National Farmers’ Retail & Markets Association (FARMA). The Farm Shop & Café will be competing with seven other farm retailers across the UK for the title of Best Farm Retail Newcomer and five others for the Best On-Farm Restaurant award. Winners will be announced in November.
October will see the finals of the Regional Enjoy England Awards, organised by East Midlands Tourism. Doddington Hall & Gardens is a finalist in the Access for All category, and the Sustainable Tourism category. The Farm Shop & Café is a finalist in the Taste of England category.
The nominations come shortly after Doddington Hall was announced the Overall Winner in the Lincolnshire Environment Awards 2008, which took place recently in Lincoln.
“Just to be nominated makes you feel like a winner,” explains Claire Birch. “What really makes Doddington Hall successful is the people – the staff, the volunteers and of course the customers. To be nominated is recognition of their passion for what we do, and we’re proud of the community that revolves around the Hall just as it would have done many years ago.“
