Marmalade winners!
Our first Marmalade Fiesta on Saturday (7th February) was great success, with no sticky moments!
A huge thank you to everyone who entered, everyone who came to watch and BBC Radio Lincolnshire's Judy Theobald who was a brilliant judge. Alongside Judy were fellow judges Claire Birch and head chef Tom Doran who between them got through 18 marmalade entries and 2 entries that had marmalade as an ingredient. We were thrilled with the number of entries - particularly as we had all had a rather snowy week - and the standard was very high indeed.
The winners were Mrs Russell (marmalade) and Mrs Davies (marmalade trifle); both won a voucher for a Fish Supper Friday for Two. (Why not pop along for the special free tasting session?)
Well done to you both!
If you would like to make more marmalade or give it a go for the first time, we still have Seville oranges in the shop and of course free recipes.
