Cooking in the Kitchen Garden Sat 4 September FREE
Enjoy our last 'Cooking in the Kitchen Garden' of the year this Saturday at 11am, free. Taking place in the Kitchen Garden (with cover / shade) in our two-acre restored Kitchen Garden, Amy's demos feature simple-to-cook dishes cooked on a single camping stove which show off the wonderful Kitchen Garden produce grown throughout the year by head kitchen gardener Gavin Roberts and his team of volunteers.
Everything cooked is seasonal and fresh but the good news is that once Amy has finished the dish it's your job to polish it off. Take the recipes home. There is always an opportunity to look round the Kitchen Garden during the demo - possibly with Gavin if he is available. This time, we are hoping that Rachel from Catkin Flowers will be able to join us and show anyone who is interested round her Cutting Garden.
Dishes will include: Tomato & Ginger Soup, Kitchen Garden Beans with Heat & Spices, Pesto Potatoes, Caramelised Kitchen Garden Figs & Apples and Kitchen Garden Ice-cream.
Amy will also be bringing along, to taste, home-made Piccalilli and Singapore Sauce from last month's demo if you missed it - hot hot hot!
It's free to attend, and no need to book. Just turn up on the day in time for the 11am start. We finish around 1pm/1.30pm but if you can't stay that long, don't worry as the sessions are relaxed and informal so you are welcome to come and go as you please.
See you there! If you have any queries, please give Amy a call direct beforehand on 01522 698 698.
