Cooking in the Kitchen Garden this Saturday (free entry)
Join us this Saturday at 11am for the last Cooking in the Kitchen Garden this year! Delicious dishes will be created just for you, inspired by the lovely produce growing in our two-acre restored Kitchen Garden and Amy's passion for home-cooking. Taste everything; take the recipes home. There is always an opportunity to look round the Kitchen Garden during or before / after the demo.
It's free to attend, and no need to book. Just turn up on the day in time for the 11am start and get comfy. We finish around 1pm/1.30pm but we do not mind if you want to stay for just one dish. Includes a free raffle for a quality cook book.
Dishes this time include: Late Summer Kitchen Garden Minestrone with Dumplings; Batu Sambol (aubergine dip); Lincolnshire 'Jucy Lucy'; Churros (Mexican donuts) and Plum Jam.
Please bring a jar or covered dish along if you'd like to take a little of the jam home with you. You may also wish to bring pen / pencil so you can write down the recipes for the jam and the 'Jucy Lucy'; all others will have a printed recipe.
Also to taste: some jam Amy has recently been making plus - as it's the last session this year - some of Steve's (our 'front of lean-to' person!) home-made wine! (Strength not known!) Hopefully there will also be some Singapore Sauce to try.
See you there! If you have any queries about ingredients, access etc., you are welcome to call Amy directly on 01522 698 698 (office hours).
