EASTER AT DODDINGTON HALL

We have lots to enjoy at Doddington this Easter! Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday are the first days of the year that the House is open as well as the Gardens. (The House & Gardens are not open Good Friday and on the Saturday.)

In our beautiful Gardens you can enjoy a stroll alongside lovely spring bulbs and flowers. The orchard looks romantic with cow-parsley and tulips below the fabulous apple and pear blossom; the grass is long and lush in the wild gardens and peppered with spring flowers. There are the last of the scented Narcissus, and lots of Rhododendrons and Azaleas.

Children are invited to tackle our popular garden Easter Eggs-ploration Quiz. Counting the unicorns, drawing shapes seen in the brickwork, finding the dinosaur’s egg, cracking the maze and naming veg growing in the Kitchen Garden will be among the tasks that will keep young, inquisitive minds busy! (£1 payable in addition to admission but children rewarded with a special chocolatey prize when they have done the Eggs-ploration.)

In the House, enjoy a wide and fascinating glimpse into the Hall's history; the younger visitors will love our Forgotten Room in particular!

House open 1-5pm. Gardens open 11am - 5pm. Last admission at 4.15pm. For details of admission, please click here.

On Good Friday and the Saturday the Farm Shop & Cafe will open as normal plus it will be open Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday 10am to 5pm. Please do give us a call on 01522 688 581 if you would like to reserve a table for lunch, Fish Supper Friday or Saturday Night Seven.

The Farm Shop will be full of delicious seasonal produce as well as Easter treats such as Simnel Cake and Hot Cross Buns. Phipps butchery offers joints and meat perfect for Easter lunch. We also have lots of lovely gifts in stock that reflect the Easter period as well as some pretty floral gifts made by Rachel whose cutting garden is based in the Kitchen Garden.
