Lincolnshire Day Thursday 1st October
We’re celebrating Lincolnshire Day on Thursday 1st October, by offering you the chance to sink your teeth and your hearts into some delicious and fabulous Lincolnshire produce! We’ll be hanging out the Lincolnshire flag and marking this special day with bags of appetite.
All day in the Farm Shop we’ll be having plenty of tastings so if you’re new to Lincolnshire produce or you want to come and remind yourself why it’s so great, then you can. Try – amongst others - the county’s brilliant plum loaf, some super jams, moreish Pipers crisps, Belvoir’s flavoursome cordials, Lincolnshire sausage and butchery treats and of course cheeses including Poacher’s. Farm Shop manager Jenny and her team are looking forward to welcoming you.
At Doddington, we offer not only Lincolnshire produce but Doddington produce as well. The star here is our wonderful Kitchen Garden looked after by head kitchen gardener Gavin, which boasts two-acres of productive garden producing veg, fruits and herbs. You can buy our produce on Lincolnshire Day as well as take a look round the Kitchen Garden (free admission).
In our Café, head chef Tom and his team will be cooking up Full Lincolnshire Breakfasts which are guaranteed to make your taste buds sing. Just on Lincolnshire Day, we’re offering a free hot drink with every breakfast (9am to 11am) plus you can enjoy a Full Lincolnshire Breakfast at lunchtime (12 noon to 2.30pm) as well. Delicious. Booking advisable for lunch, please call 01522 688 581.
