Local Day in the Farm Shop (Saturday 23rd, FREE)
Join us from 10am to 4pm for our Local Day (free entry) on Saturday 23 July. We'll be showcasing not only our own Kitchen Garden produce (including a great veg display plus delicious tasters made by our production chef Mark) but also other Lincolnshire products and produce.
In addition, we're hosting new suppliers, Greendog. Greendog is a new local producer of deli products and preserves. Based in Heighington and run by Paul & George Bennett, Greendog will be offering tasters of their jam range which has some unusual flavours. (Plum and sage, peach and saffron, strawberry and black pepper, pear and vanilla, rhubarb and lime.) You'll be able to chat to George about jam making, and perhaps even his days as a chef for Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant!
As well as the chance to taste and discuss our Kitchen Garden produce (made into fabulous dishes by our production chefs), Lincolnshire cheeses from our deli and Doddington Honey plus Doddington preserves we're joined by some of our special producers.
Oldershaw Brewery and Thaymar Ice-creams will both be present, with tasters. They will both be able to chat to you about brewing and ice-cream respectively! We will also have tasters available from Welbourne Plum Loaf, Pipers Crisps, Welbeck's artisan bakery and Belvoir cordials / presses.
