The Aromatherapy Garden, growing and using scented plants. 1st July

We all love our gardens, but how can we get more from the plants and herbs that we grow? Gardener & florist Rachel Petheram, whose Cutting Garden Catkin Flowers is based here at Doddington has a wonderful short course available on Thursday 1 July from 10am to 12.30pm. (Just £20pp.)

Aromatherapy originated many centuries ago, with the practice of enfusing petals and leaves in oil to create 'essential oils'. The effect of scent is equally potent, having a powerful effect on both emotion and mood. Imagine influencing how you feel simply by choosing the plants in your garden wisely.

You will learn some surprising things! For example, did you know that rose has a well-documented anti-anxiety and anti-conflict effects? In some studies it has out-performed valium...

An aromatic garden can be a means to health, well-being and pleasure.  This course is  designed to help you to create your own fragrant space within the
garden as well as covering the uses of these fragrant plants. Notes, coffee / tea are included.  Just £20pp

Places must be reserved. For more information or to book, call Rachel direct on 01400 272 344 or email Rachel by clicking here.
