What's Good from Our Kitchen Garden
In the Farm Shop, July's Veg of the month was broad beans, which are grown just a wheelbarrow push away in our two-acre walled Kitchen Garden. But they are clearly too nice as they have been flying off the shelves and into our customers' delicious risottos, pastas etc. But as the broad beans finish - we have just a few left so pop in very soon - the courgettes grown by Gavin in the Kitchen Garden gain momentum and they are now our Veg of the Month!
Other wonderful produce coming to the Farm Shop from our Kitchen Garden at the moment include globe artichokes, podding peas, sugar snap peas, mange tout, courgettes, salad leaves, rhubarb, raspberries and the first of the tomatoes. Charlotte potatoes from the Kitchen Garden are just £2.50 for a 5kg sack.
