2010 Opening Times:

We have periods during the year when the Gardens are open only on Sundays but the House is closed, and other times when both the House and Gardens are open on Sundays, Wednesdays and Bank Holiday Mondays only.  Days of opening are restricted: please read the following carefully so you don't waste a journey on a day when the gardens / house and garden are not open. Please call us if you need clarification on 01522 694 308.

Gardens Only:

On Sundays only  11am to 4pm, the Gardens are open from 14th February to 28th March and also throughout October. (For April to September inclusive, please see the following entry for House & Garden opening.)

Snowdrops and crocus - Sunday 14th February and following Sundays.
Daffodils March and April.
Irises late May / early June.
Autumn cyclamen & crocus September.
 

House and Gardens:

4th April (Easter Day) to 29th September every Wednesday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday  1-5pm, (Gardens open 11am). Last admission at 4.30pm. (Guided party tours of both House and Gardens welcome at other times, please contact us to arrange.)

2010 Admission:

Gardens only: £5.00 adults, £2.75 children, £14.00 family (2 adults + 4 children). Children under 4 years free. Garden season ticket £20 (single adult), £35 (2 adults), £40 (2 adults and 2 children).

House & Gardens: £8.50 adults, £4.25 children, £22.00 family (2 adults + 4 children). Children under 4 years free. House & Garden season ticket £25 (single adult), £40 (2 adults), £45 (2 adults and 2 children).

Group rates available.

Free entry for HHA and RHS members.

2-for-1 for disabled visitor plus carer.

Facilities:

Fascinating house with helpful staff, free, entertaining audio-tour and popular children's 'Unicorn Quest'.

Fabulous Gardens to explore including walled Kitchen Garden.

Ample car parking with disabled bays close to the Hall.

If you are visiting the Farm Shop with your dog, please note that we have 'Dog Parks' just outside our Courtyard. You are welcome to leave your dog at a 'dog park' but we do request that you do not leave it unattended for long or you sit where you can see your dog. We do not have 'Dog Parks' at the Hall. Pet dogs are not permitted in the Hall and Gardens or in the Farm Shop, Cafe or Courtyard. Please do not leave your dog in your car in hot weather.

Fresh fruit and veg from the Doddington Kitchen Garden for sale in the Farm Shop, plus local and rare breed meat from FC Phipps butchers and a wide variety of regional produce. We also offer a delightful selection of gifts, freshly cooked seasonal food, cakes, drinks, snacks and delicious ice-cream. Safe and secluded play area for younger children. 

Catkin Flowers:
 

The Kitchen Garden is now home to Rachel Petherham and her business Catkin Flowers.  Rachel is often busy at work in the Kitchen Garden, and you will usually be able to buy her flowers in the Farm Shop. Please contact Rachel in advance if you would like to order some flowers to collect during your visit.
