** SPECIAL WEDDING DEALS FOR 2010: A GREAT YEAR TO GET MARRIED AT DODDINGTON HALL! ** During 2010 we will be building a brand new wedding venue. This will mean the popular Littlehouse venue will not be available. Instead we will be offering access to Doddington Hall itself and the beautiful Gardens at hugely reduced prices, offering savings of up to £5500 on 2009 prices. See below for further details.
FOR WEDDINGS IN 2010 / 2011 We can offer you the chance to get married within the Hall (or grounds) at special prices for 2010 / 2011 (until May): Doddington Hall is one of the most beautiful Elizabethan houses in the country. Still privately owned and lived in, it has never been sold since it was built in 1595 and it is a truly splendid venue with a uniquely exclusive and romantic atmosphere. Between January 2010 and May 2011 only we are offering a very special one-off opportunity for weddings at Doddington Hall while we build our fabulous new extension to the neighbouring Littlehouse. Your Civil Ceremony will be in the stunning Long Gallery which runs the length of the Hall and has beautiful views from the windows along the length of it. It is a breathtaking room, whether you have 20-200 guests and has the advantage of a beautiful grand piano for music during your ceremony. You then have choice of two beautiful sites for your marquee reception: The Croquet Lawn is right in the ornamental gardens of the Hall, just a few steps for your guests after the ceremony. Venue fees for January 2010 to May 2011 only The Long Gallery and Avenue Marquee site – venue fee from £500 (normally £4,500) The Long Gallery and Croquet Lawn – venue fee £1500 (normally £7,000) On top of this very special offer, we have worked out a fantastic package with our tried and trusted suppliers so you can benefit from our working relationship with them, their familiarity with the venue and the time and cost savings that this can produce for you. FOR WEDDINGS FROM JUNE 2011 ONWARDS The Littlehouse and Green Wing From June 2011 our stunning new extension to the Littlehouse (The Green Wing) will be available for weddings: The Littlehouse is a romantic converted coach-house with its own secluded garden standing in the shadow of Doddington Hall. It has a real country house feel and we are building a stunning, environmentally friendly extension ‘the Green Wing’ that can seat from 20 to 120 people. The venue fee for a Civil Ceremony and reception will vary between £1750 and £2500 depending on the day of the week and the time of year. The Green Wing has cutting edge environmental features and we will be offering special ‘Green wedding packages’ with locally sourced food, drink, flowers, cake plus lots of tips for reducing the carbon footprint of your wedding! Justine is very flexible about fixing appointments for evenings or weekends depending on your timetable. A part of the Doddington Estate, the delightful Brewhouse can accommodate up to 10 people and is conveniently situated just a few yards from both the Hall and the Littlehouse. To discuss or view the Brewhouse, please contact Justine. (The Brewhouse will also be available as a holiday let.) Also nearby and able to accommodate a further 6 people, The Stables, The Old Rectory is part of Doddington village and is situated next to Doddington Hall. Nearby Canal View Bed & Breakfast in Saxilby serves up sausages and bacon from our Farm Shop! (Canal View Bed & Breakfast is a short journey by car / taxi away.) Three miles from Doddington Hall is the Crossfell B&B, run by Mrs Judith Graeves. Mrs Graeves offers a double room with bathroom and own sitting room and patio doors from the bedroom. Good parking.
