Due to COVID-19, we’ve introduced some changes to keep you safe when you visit the Doddington Hall Estate. To ensure the safety of both our visitors and staff, we politely ask that you adhere to the safety measures in place and respect the 2m social distancing rule at all times.
Aqueous Ozone hand sanitiser is available at all entry points – please spray onto your hands and rub for 20 seconds prior to entering.
Please note that face coverings must be worn indoors except when seated at a table to eat or drink. Applies to 11 years and over, please inform us if you have exemptions.
2 metre (or 1 metre plus with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable) social distancing is in place throughout the Estate.
Please use the NHS Test & Trace QR code, the Doddington Hall QR code or provide your name & telephone number to the reception upon entering. If a phone number is not available, please provide an email address or postal address. Hospitality venues must refuse entry to those who refuse to participate. Failure to do any of these requirements will result in a fixed penalty fine.
Please pay via card (contactless if possible). The only exception is our Pumpkin Patch where we are only able to accept cash due to the location.
We confirm that we have complied with the Government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19. View statement.
We clean with Stabilised Aqueous Ozone (SAO) solution throughout the Doddington Estate. This cleaning solution helps us achieve the high standards we set, whilst also being kind to the planet and ensuring the health and safety of both our visitors and our team.
The aqueous ozone generator creates SAO by taking oxygen (O2) from the air and safely turning it into O3, which is then infused into ordinary cold tap water. SAO is attracted to germs, soils and bacteria and quickly eliminates them. For general purpose cleaning, SAO cleans for days and safely reverts back to water and oxygen (O2).
On 20th April 2020, the manufacturer Tersano wrote:
“In our most recent testing, the SAO solution was tested against an approved surrogate for SARS-CoV-2, which is the Coronavirus/MHV-3. MHV-3 (Murine coronavirus/Murine Hepatitis Virus) is one of the approved surrogates as it belongs to the same Genus (Betacoronavirus) as SARS (SARS-CoV), MERS (MERS-CoV) and COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2). While testing against MHV-3, the lab also tested against influenza A Virus (H1N1), Measles Virus and Syncytial Respiratory Virus.
We are pleased to announce that Tersano’s SAO solution was effective in eliminating >99.99% (>4-log) of all four (4) enveloped viruses with a one-minute dwell time.”
Each day, our team collect bottles of freshly-produced SAO for use on all surfaces throughout the Estate. Using cloths, we clean and sanitise all surfaces with special attention given to sanitising high risk areas such as handles, taps and tills etc.
Best of all, there are no toxins, carcinogens or chemical residue as SAO converts safely back to tap water and oxygen. It’s completely safe to use.
By using SAO, we’re doing our bit to help save millions of litres of toxic chemicals from being washed into our drains. SAO is compliant in Europe to CE and EN 60335-1/A2:2006, making it a safe to use household product. SAO helps us to cut out excess waste, meet our environmental responsibilities, reduce packaging waste and reduce our company carbon footprint.
