We have achieved the ‘Good To Go’ official UK mark to signal that we have worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and we have a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
The Doddington Restaurant will remain closed until further notice. Afternoon Tea is now served in the Doddington Tea Room situated in the Coach House.
In the café, we have fewer tables and set seating arrangements in line with social distancing. (2 metres, or 1 metre plus with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable).
Maximum numbers of 6 guests seated at one table will be in place. We do have mostly tables of 2 inside with the addition of a few tables that are available to seat 4/6 guests. Please factor this into your planning.
Contactless payment is preferred.
Face coverings must be worn internally at all times unless seated at a dining table.
To comply with social distancing guidelines, there is no longer access to the café through the Doddington Farm Shop entrance. Entry and exit of the café, for the foreseeable future, will be in the Marsden’s Courtyard, adjacent to the outside seating area, accessed from opposite the Bike Shop and alongside Doddington at Home & Country Clothing store.
Our usual queue system will now be outside, with limited space for queueing available. If the queue is full please do browse the stores and Estate and come back to us when space is available. We apologise in advance for any queues and ask that you be patient with the team, as we follow the Government guidance, to ensure the environment is safe for our guests and the Doddington team.
Guests will be greeted by our host and allocated a table inside the café.
To comply with track and trace guidelines we are required to record at least one member of the party before entry. This information will be kept on file for 21 days, in line with Government guidance and GDPR, before being destroyed.
Please sanitise hands at our station before entering. All of our team will be regularly washing hands and sanitising the environment in line with guidance.
We have a one-way system in place so please follow the floor arrows and adhere to entry and exit signs.
Before seating please be assured that our tables and chairs, and at regular intervals the whole café environment, will be sanitised with Stabilised Aqueous Ozone (SAO™) which is a highly effective cleaner, sanitiser and deodoriser, proven to kill some of the toughest viruses. A natural and chemical-free solution, SAO™ is created using just electricity, oxygen and water. Yet despite using only natural elements, it is still able to kill highly infectious viruses such as COVID-19, rotavirus, enteric adenovirus and Norwalk virus. Tests have proven it will kill norovirus in just 2 seconds when sprayed onto the infected surface, despite norovirus being one of the most difficult viruses to kill. Find out more.
Proceed to the counter to order and pay for food and drinks. Counter service is no longer permitted.
Your order will then be delivered to your table and we will endeavour to minimise contact between our guests and team to ensure social distancing is adhered to where possible. Our team are wearing face coverings.
Please refrain from moving allocated tables and chairs as these have been set in line with social distancing guidelines.
Your chosen dishes will then be delivered to your table and we will endeavour to minimise contact between our guests and team to ensure social distancing is adhered to where possible.
Your table will be cleared after you have left, unless you request otherwise, and sanitised ready for the next guests.
Please respect the staff when we prompt you that your table is needed for our next customers and please respect other customers by adhering to social distancing rules.
