Giant Bike Shop Mark Hollingworth

General Manager

Triathlon addict and self-confessed MAMIL, Mark loves all things sport with bikes at the very top of the pile. An ex-Army officer with 15 years retail experience, Mark knows customers expect high standards and leads his team with pride. His greatest sporting achievements were completing a 12hr open water swim for charity and the Outlaw Full Distance Triathlon.

Assistant Manager

Damian is a well-established cycle competitor, our most complete cyclist he is at home on any type of bike. Competing in TT, CX and XC and having amassed over 25 years of cycle trade experience he has an amazing knowledge base. Whether a road bike, mountain bike or something for getting around the shops on Damian will definitely be able to give you the very best advice. His greatest sporting achievements have been a number of top 10 finishes in the national xc points series.
Giant Bike Shop Katie Hopkinson

Sales Advisor

With a background in sports development and coaching Katie is a real asset to the team. Always there with a smile and happy to help Katie can not only help you pick out the best bike but provide advice on your fitness and help you with your coaching needs. She is also one of our club ride leaders and regularly leads our Saturday morning ladies ride around the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. Her greatest sporting moment came when she completed the 903-mile John o’ Groats to Lands’ End.
Giant Bike Shop Richard Clements

Sales Advisor / Technician

Ex Australian Military man and post-graduate Richard has a real passion for mountain biking. Along with being well versed in all the latest bike spec he is also a dab hand on the tools with Cytech 2 accreditation. If you fancy a heated discussion on the vagaries of head angles and fork offsets he’s your man. His greatest sporting achievement was being unanimously voted best-on-field in an Australian Rules football match.
Giant Bike Shop Sam Jones

Power Fit Technician/Sales Advisor

Sam is a mountain biker and road cyclist who loves the social side of cycling. On his days off he likes nothing more than a trip to the Peak District for an all-day epic ride or a trip to a café on the road bike. He spends much of his time in our Power Fit room ensuring customers get the most from their bike/s. His greatest sporting achievement is creating a fantastic array of club rides he now hosts from the shop. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for details.

Service Centre Supervisor

Cytech Level 2 qualified technician and Sport and Exercise Science Graduate, Jack heads up our Service Centre and can also be seen on the shop floor helping customers. A ‘Jack of all trades’ at most cycling disciplines, Jack has competed across road, track, MTB and TT. His greatest sporting achievement was representing the East of England Regional Cycling Team at the Junior Tour of Wales.
Giant Bike Shop Rebecca Durrell

Sales Advisor

Road racer for the UK’s most recent UCI women’s team, Drops cycling. Rebecca is a Sports and Exercise graduate and PE teacher, who has recently changed career to pursue a full-time racing calendar. She is keen to help everyone, from those buying their very first bike to seasoned racers. Her sporting achievements include winning the 2016 women’s CiCLE classic, podium finishes in the 2016 Lincoln GP and Stevenage Tour Series, and competing in UCI stage races such as the AVIVA Women’s Tour and the Tour of California.

Sales Advisor

Politics graduate Tom is ready to offer help, technical support and assistance on anything cycling related. Another road rider with a competitive edge, he can be seen riding in local and regional road and CX races, crits and TTs. He also enjoys the social aspect of riding and is always keen to lead out one of our club rides. Tom’s greatest sporting achievement is winning a Sub-Series of the North Midlands Road Race League and finishing 3rd overall in his first year of competing as a Junior.
Giant Bike Shop Jacob Hammond

Technician

Jacob is another keen amateur racer, regularly competing in crits and CX events, he has recently acquired his 3rd category licence. Jacob is also a budding slopestyle/dirt jump rider. Such a diverse range of cycling interests ensures Jacob’s technical knowhow covers all disciplines. Jacob’s greatest sporting achievement was a second place at the Blyton Crit.
Giant Bike Shop Brian Fleming

Technician

Our most accomplished racer, Brian’s list of greatest sporting achievements would need their own website! (Supposedly one exists…). He has won over 100 elite level races and rode for Great Britain in the nineties. Brian first rode the Lincoln GP in 1991 and that very race inspired his relocation to Lincoln. He’s now trying to find his legs as a veteran racer in between build bikes in our service centre.
Giant Bike Shop James Birch

Chairman

James is a late convert to serious cycling but is now so keen he has a shop. He has also given up horses – bikes don’t bite, kick or need to be fed. He believes electric bikes are the future and already has two. His greatest sporting achievement was Cambridge pole vault champion, but that is quite a long time ago!
