At the height of summer, the garden is at its fullest expression of abundance and there is simply heaps to do. Join Rachel for an intimate gathering of like-minded souls and a very practical day in the garden where you can work alongside Rachel and get hands-on.
Harvesting and feeding, mulching and nurturing is our focus for this summer session. We will be doing all those things needed to support the garden to make it safely and joyfully over the hill to autumn. At this time of year being productive amidst the abundance of the garden is balm for the soul and with friendships to be made, and a lovely summer lunch to be enjoyed it has all the makings of a perfect day.
8 September 2022, 10am-3:30pm
Rachel has always seen September as a second spring in the walled garden, with the added bonus of a harvest. Join Rachel for an intimate gathering of like-minded souls and a very practical day in the garden where you can work alongside me and get hands-on.
At this time of year, our focus is on keeping the garden going and growing past the winter. We take seeds harvested in late summer and sow them ready for the next year. Bulbs go in so that colour and life can come back early in true spring and we harvest what the garden has to offer before autumn sets in.
Working in the garden in September has that back to school feeling, renewed energy, focus and productivity and it is a real treat to get stuck in along with kindred spirits.
All of the ‘Days in my Garden’ experiences are £75 including lunch and are limited to 4 spaces
