Doddington at Home present Katherine’s House by local author Sarah Hogg.
Reviewed as an “ingenious and original novel… interweaving great events in history with ordinary lives” – Charles Lysaght
Katherine’s House is a vividly written accurate historical novel told through the ordinary lives of the occupants of a Lincolnshire hamlet – Kettlethorpe and in particular the owners of Kettlethorpe Hall – including Katherine Swynford. The novel touches on some of the greatest events in history, from the Norman Conquest to the Battle of Lincoln and the Civil War. It concludes at the time of the Second World War, a war in which Lincolnshire ‘Bomber County’ played such an important role.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sarah Hogg has had a long distinguished career in journalism, politics and in the City.
