Recognised as a consummate craftsman, Neil Wilkin established his first workshop in 1984. Making tableware, undertaking complex and large-scale restoration work, and using his repertoire to interpret ideas for many artists.
Working with and understanding different materials, combined with travelling just short distances on the surface of our planet (even commuting to work), Neil looks to observe how the geology beneath our feet shapes not just our landscape, but every detail of our environment. It is not just the physical structure, but weather and life - the idea that everything is connected is something Neil explores through his work, which is proudly displayed in public and private collections around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Hepworth Wakefield and Crafts Council Collection in the UK.
