Farm Shop

Opening Times
Mon-Sat9am-5pm
Sun & BH Mon10am-4pm

Opened in 2007, our award-winning Farm Shop was born out of a passion for good quality, seasonal, local food.

You’ll find fruit and vegetables with zero food miles freshly picked from our fabulous Kitchen Garden, beef in the Butchery often from our very own herd of Lincoln Red cattle, estate honey and an abundance of other produce from local suppliers.

Our fruit and veg is delivered daily, either from our Kitchen Garden or from specially selected local suppliers. Enjoy the best of the season or something a little more unusual from our range.

Our deli is bursting with the very best local and English cheeses, with a few continental must haves as well. Ask us to help you put together a fantastic cheese board or create a cheese wedding cake.

Our deli also boasts a fully stocked olive bar.

We are proud stockists of COOK frozen ready meals with an extensive range of delicious frozen mains, tasty sides, popular desserts, impressive canapés, fantastic party food, healthy children’s meals and low-calorie options.

Our Hambleton Farms Butchery counter stocks quality local and rare-breed meats, including Doddington reared Lincoln Red beef, properly hung to promote the best flavour.

Sausages, local game, homemade pork pies and own cured bacon are also in plentiful supply.

The butchery has recently had a makeover and improvements include a special dry ageing fridge, new display counters and a larger range of ready to cook meal ideas.

Welbeck and Hambleton bakeries deliver fresh bread daily, along with fresh cakes from Pocklingtons our bakery is full of treats! For the home baker we have ingredients, decorations and accessories galore many of which are not easily found elsewhere and our selection of flours are wind-milled traditionally at the local Maud Foster Mill in Boston.

Stock up on your larder essentials (and those not-so-essentials) from our extensive range of chutneys, jams, pickles, pesto, sauces, pasta, chocolates, sweet treats and crisps. Enough to inspire the most jaded of cooks. Our customers’ favourites include Doddington Estate Honey, Doddington recipe marmalade and our very own apple juice made using the apples from our orchard.

Our wine shop is packed with amazing wines from around the globe, and an extensive selection of the very best English wine.

We can help you choose wines to enhance a special meal or suggest something new for a quiet night in.

We have also chosen a selection of spirits, craft beers and alcohol free alternatives from the local area to suit all tastes.

TRY IT FRIDAYS

Our Farm Shop team would like to invite you to a series of tastings by some of our favourite suppliers. Starting on 28 May, every Friday afternoon from 1–3.30pm.

SEASONAL PRODUCE

Thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the formerly neglected two-acre Walled Kitchen Garden was restored to its former glory in 2007 (after a 50 year absence).

Just a stone’s throw from the Hall it now provides an abundance of fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs which take centre stage on our menus and are regularly for sale in the Farm Shop.

HAMBLETONS BUTCHERY

Our Hambleton Farms Butchery counter stocks quality local and rare-breed meats, including Doddington reared Lincoln Red beef, properly hung to promote the best flavour.

Sausages, local game, homemade pork pies and own cured bacon are also in plentiful supply.

The butchery has recently had a makeover and improvements include a special dry ageing fridge, new display counters and a larger range of ready to cook meal ideas.

REDUCING PACKAGING

We’re trying to reduce plastic packaging on all of our fruit and veg. We’ve requested that our suppliers give us loose produce as much as possible. We will refund you 20p off your next veg box if you return your tray. For the lowest environmental impact, why not buy our Kitchen Garden produce?

Vegetable Exchange Scheme

We hate waste here at Doddington and we know when you have a vegetable garden or allotment it is sometimes hard to use everything you grow, so if you are an amateur veggie grower we would like to hear from you. Find out more.
