VOLUNTEERING

From the great outdoors to bringing history to life, we've got a range of different opportunities to get involved at Doddington.

Volunteering can be an extremely rewarding experience. From making new friends to enhancing your CV, volunteering is a great opportunity to make a real difference. Join our community of wonderful volunteers and learn more about Doddington Hall, so you can share all that’s special - indoors and out.

THE HALL

Over 400 years of unbroken family occupation has resulted in fascinating collections of furniture, weaponry, paintings, ceramics, textiles, household objects, porcelain and a wealth of amusing stories all to be found in and around Doddington Hall.

Join our team of room guides and help bring history to life for our visitors. We are currently recruiting for room guides for our Christmas opening when the Hall will be spectacularly decorated for the festive period.

THE GARDENS

For many, the Gardens at Doddington are just as spectacular as the Hall itself. Remaining faithful to the original Elizabethan layout, mellow walls provide the framework for the formal East Front and West Gardens. Beyond the West Garden begins the lovingly restored Wild Gardens.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to join our Garden Team at Doddington.
If you’d like to be part of a wonderful team and help us keep the Gardens looking beautiful then we’d love to hear from you.

WILDER DODDINGTON

We are always excited to have people come and help us at Wilder Doddington. Whether you would like to come along and help on a regular basis or come to occasional volunteer days, please register your interest by filling out the form (button below) to tell us a little more about yourself.

Our VOLUNTEER RANGERS are regular volunteers committed to a minimum of 50 hours of volunteering per year. They undertake tasks such as wildlife surveys, hedgerow measuring, soil sampling, litter picking, keeping footpaths clear, talking to visitors, and upholding the countryside code. As well as the joy of knowing they are contributing something great to local wildlife and people.

Our WILDER VOLUNTEERS are a bank of enthusiastic people who enjoy the opportunity to come in occasionally and help with large tasks as and when they are needed, such as tree planting, weeding, bird box making and wildlife surveys.

parkrun

Volunteering at parkrun is an opportunity to get outside, make new friends, have fun, learn new skills and to be a valuable part of your local community. The Doddington Hall parkrun team are always looking for new volunteers.
