The Grain Store Café, Restaurant & Bar is set in the grounds of historic Doddington Hall, where heritage meets contemporary in the Lincolnshire countryside.

At Doddington we believe in providing more than just great food and drinks. We create an inviting and warm atmosphere for our customers to enjoy a delightful dining experience. At the Grain Store, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a memorable and enjoyable visit.

We are looking for an experienced individual to supervise our team of waiting staff on weekends. If you have a passion for customer service, leadership skills and enjoy working in a dynamic environment then we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the team of weekend waiting staff
• Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction
• Manage table assignments and reservations
• Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly attitude
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff members
• Oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials
• Operate the till and process payments efficiently
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

• Proven hospitality experience, including waiting tables
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A friendly and professional demeanour

Essential Requirements

• Applicants must be 18 years+

The Grain Store is a vibrant and welcoming café known for its exceptional coffee and delightful atmosphere. You will be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

We’re passionate about serving the finest coffee and delivering exceptional customer service. If you’re a talented Barista who shares our love for coffee and wants to be part of a dynamic team then we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes and more
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking and preparing their orders accurately
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is well maintained
• Engage with customers to provide product recommendations, answer questions and create a positive experience
• Operate the till and handle transactions accurately
• Restock and rotate merchandise, such as pastries, snacks and coffee beans
• Uphold our commitment to quality by following brewing and serving standards
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including food handling and cleanliness protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment

Skills & Experience: 

• 1 year+ Barista experience essential
• A passion for coffee and a willingness to learn and improve your Barista skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Food hygiene and safety certification is desirable but not essential
