We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Farm Shop Café.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
Weekend availability is essential, as Saturdays and Sundays are among our busiest trading days. The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting the wider hospitality on the estate, ensuring smooth collaboration between teams and helping maintain high operational standards across the business.
- Lead and support the café team during shifts, including weekends
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times
- Supervise service flow, food presentation and cleanliness standards
- Assist with staff training, rotas and performance support
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
- Support stock control, ordering and wastage management
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Open and close the café as required
- Collaborate with other departments across the estate to maintain seamless operations
- Provide leadership support to other teams within the hospitality group, particularly during peak periods, events or special projects
- The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility and reliability, with the ability to step in and provide cover for staff absence and sickness when required. This may include adjusting working hours at short notice to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operation.
About You
- Previous supervisory experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident managing busy weekend services
- Positive, proactive and reliable
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Level 2 Food Hygiene (preferred, but training can be provided)
