We’re looking for an Assistant Front of House Manager to join our team in the Farm Shop Café.

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Proven Experience: Successful management of front of house operations in a similar environment is essential.
  • Presentation and Hospitality: A well-presented individual who ensures customers feel instantly welcome.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to confidently engage with customers and lead a team, maintaining the high standards of service expected at Doddington Hall.

 

The Role:

  • Type: Full-time, permanent position.
  • Schedule: 5 days per week over a 7-day operation, including weekends and some evening shifts.
  • Responsibilities: Lead a team in our award-winning Farm Shop Cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible, have own transport due to our countryside location, and be able to cover shifts at short notice.
  • Salary: Salary negotiable based on experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the team of weekend waiting staff
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes and more
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking and preparing their orders accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is well maintained
  • Engage with customers to provide product recommendations, answer questions and create a positive experience

  • 1 year+ Barista experience essential

  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Food hygiene and safety certification is desirable but not essential
