How to put your commitment to conservation first

Partner with Wilder Doddington and secure BNG units where you can see them.

Wilder Doddington is leading the way in restoring nature at scale, with its new-to-market Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) offering. Designed to help every company meet its offsetting, sustainability, and conservation goals, Doddington is the ideal partner for those seeking a reliable and ethical source to help them achieve greater biodiversity value on site.

Benefit from our COMMITMENT TO A NATURE-FIRST APPROACH

Coupled with a nature-first approach, the expert team at Doddington is committed to managing the land across three evolving BNG sites in a particular and very visible way.

When working with Wilder, developers aren’t just buying BNG units, supplementing any work they are already doing on-site to offset developments. They are investing in the expert knowledge needed to manage these gain areas for the next three decades, ensuring a lasting, positive impact on the environment.

EXPLORE Our BNG Sites

A strategic approach, developed to meet regional needs over the next 30 years, Wilder Doddington’s three sites aim to ensure a long-term evolution of our habitats, biodiversity, and wildlife corridors.

Our three BNG sites:

  • The Orchard
  • The Woodland
  • The Wild Land

With Lincolnshire, sadly, reporting some of the lowest tree cover and countryside access figures in the UK, these projects are vital and provide developers with a visible opportunity to paint a bigger, positive picture for the area.

What is BNG?

Find out more about the legislation that has made conserving and rebuilding the natural environment a responsibility for all developers.

Doddington’s Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) initiative and subsequent projects are a proactive response to these new regulations, placing Lincolnshire at the forefront of a nationwide effort to integrate environmental conservation with new developments.

Having become a legal requirement for most developments in 2024 under the Environment Act 2021, BNG legislation mandates that new developments must have a 10% greater biodiversity value after completion than before they started.

Why do I need BNG?

By purchasing BNG units, your company can offset any biodiversity losses caused by your commercial activities, contributing to the creation, restoration, or enhancement of habitats and ecosystems.

As a developer, you can either do this work yourself, on-site, or purchase BNG units from private landowners like Doddington. Since BNG units must be maintained for 30 years, Doddington’s long-standing nature-first approach to land management makes them an ideal partner for developers seeking a reliable, ethical, and – unusually – publicly visible and accessible BNG source.
