Padel Coaching

Whether you're new to the sport or just want to improve, book a session with one of our expert coaches and you’ll be ready to beat your first opponent in no time.

Ideal for both beginners and players wanting to improve their game, our personalised coaching sessions focus on developing your fundamental padel skills and your tactical awareness.

Coaching sessions include an introduction to the sport and an explanation of the rules. Once you’ve got the basics down, you’ll have a go at mastering techniques, practising key shots and engaging in progressive drills. Your coach will participate in gameplay with you, until you feel ready to hit the court and take on a real opponent.

Coaching sessions start from just £30, which includes court and equipment hire.

Thinking about
stopping by?

With so much to do at Doddington, it can be hard to fit everything into just one day. So here are a few useful things to know before you set off:

Frequently
Asked Questions

Do I need to be a member to play padel at Doddington Hall?

No. The Doddington padel courts are open to everyone, and no membership is required. Simply book your preferred court and time through the Playtomic app and enjoy a game whenever it suits you.

Do I need to book in advance?

No. The Doddington padel courts are open to everyone, and no membership is required. Simply book your preferred court and time through the Playtomic app and enjoy a game whenever it suits you.

Book via Playtomic
How do I book a padel court?

Court bookings are made through the Playtomic app. Simply create an account, choose your preferred date and time, and confirm your booking. Courts can be booked in 30, 60, 90 or 120-minute sessions.

Can I hire padel rackets and buy balls?

Yes. You can add racket hire to your court booking when you book through the Playtomic app. The access code for the changing rooms, where you'll collect your rackets, will be included in the club message within your booking confirmation email. Padel balls are also available to purchase from the vending machine in the Padel Pavilion if needed.

Is padel suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Padel is one of the easiest racket sports to learn, making it ideal for beginners, families and groups of friends. If you're new to the game, you can also book a coaching session with one of our qualified coaches to help you get started.

Are the padel courts floodlit?

Yes. All four outdoor padel courts are fitted with high-quality floodlighting, so you can enjoy playing throughout the day and into the evening. The courts are open daily from 7am until 10pm.

What should I wear for padel?

We recommend comfortable sportswear and padel or herringbone sole sports shoes with good grip. If you don't have your own racket, you can hire one when you arrive, making it easy to try padel without buying equipment first.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

If you cancel more than 24 hours before your booking, you'll receive a full refund. Bookings cancelled within 24 hours are non-refundable. If severe weather means the courts cannot be played on, affected bookings can be rescheduled or refunded.

Is there parking at the padel courts?

Yes. Free parking is available close to the courts, with EV charging points and cycle parking nearby. After your game, you can also enjoy refreshments at the Grain Store Café, where players receive 10% off selected drinks when showing their booking confirmation.
