Shakespeare Cottage

Just a four-minute walk from the Elizabethan Hall, Shakespeare Cottage is a beautiful barn conversion, and the most modern accommodation on the estate.


Thoughtfully renovated, this warm and welcoming cottage has all the conveniences of a new property, whilst retaining the charm and character of the original building.

With a large lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy dining area, the spacious ground floor is perfect for socialising, whilst the four en-suite bedrooms provide the privacy to relax and unwind.

Outside, there is a large garden, ample parking and easy access to both the Grain Store and the padel courts.

Asked Questions

How do I make a booking?

To book accommodation at Doddington Hall, you can use our online booking system. Alternatively, you can call 01522 699162 or email stay@doddingtonhall.com.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Standard check-in time for all properties is 4pm, check out is 10am on the day of departure.

All of our properties are self-check in/check out system. Keys are stored in secure silver key boxes on the exterior wall of each property, the access code will be included in your booking confirmation email.

Upon departure, please return the keys to the key box and re-enter the code to lock it.

Is parking available?

All of the accommodation at Doddington has allocated parking spaces, providing ample parking for guests.

EV chargers are available in the Grain Store car park.

Is the accommodation at Doddington accessible?

Due to the historic nature of the estate, none of our properties can be classified as fully accessible. However, Shakespeare Cottage offers a ground-floor twin bedroom with an ensuite wet room.

Are pets allowed?

Dogs are welcome in our pet-friendly cottages, Grange Farm and Holly Farm only. A charge of £30 per dog, per stay applies, payable at the time of booking and non-refundable.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your booking, your 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than 2 months before your booking, 75% of the total cost is payable. If you cancel within 4 weeks of the booked date, the full amount is payable. Please note that forfeited deposits cannot be credited towards future bookings. Full terms and conditions are available on request.
