Autumn at Doddington
Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons to visit Doddington. From the changing leaves to the early morning frost, there’s something quite magical in the air.
Throughout October, the gardens at Doddington Hall are open daily, offering the chance to experience the estate at its most atmospheric. Fiery leaves frame the Hall in a tapestry of colour, bringing a burst of brightness to even the darkest autumn day.
With the same autumnal hues transforming Wilder Doddington, you can enjoy some stunning walks through the parkland and out into the ancient woodland. As the colder weather brings a whole host of new wildlife to look out for, you never know who you might see along the way.
On our autumn menus, we celebrate the best of the harvest, with comforting dishes inspired by our own estate-grown produce. Of course, our pumpkins take centre stage, as we grow over 30 varieties of pumpkin, squash and gourd in our Kitchen Garden.
There are all sorts of creative ways to cook with these seasonal crops. If our dishes inspire you to try something new at home, you’ll find plenty of pumpkins to choose from in our Farm Shop. And if you want to pick your own, a visit to the Doddington Hall Pumpkin Patch is an autumn essential!
