Catkin Flowers x Guy Petheram
As a floral artist, Rachel Petheram of Catkin Flowers, grows flowers and natural materials to help express her relationship with nature and the seasons. Guy Petheram is a garden designer with a huge affinity for trees and he leads tree walks at Doddington Hall, RHS Harlow Carr and Sheffield Botanical Gardens.
Guy and Rachel will lead a session in the gardens at Doddington Hall, where Guy will tell you about our connection to trees and their role in our history and culture and Rachel will guide you in a sylvotherapy session, where the therapeutic nature of trees will help you to relax and connect with nature.
We will use the trees for artistic expression, using mulberry paper and charcoal to create beautiful, unique bark rubbings, which will capture the essence of the trees in the garden at Doddington Hall.
The workshop is held in Rachel’s studio in the walled Kitchen Garden at Doddington Hall.

Guy Petheram is a garden designer with a huge affinity for trees and leads tree walks and offers Garden Design courses at Doddington Hall. He has been designing gardens and advising clients for more than 15 years throughout the East of England, and beyond, helping them to create their own green havens, from large country gardens to small town yards. Promoting gardens that are as sustainable as possible is a key focus.
