A Wilder Welcome
Join us at the Wild House, our new centre for learning and wellbeing at the heart of nature recovery, and discover the story of Wilder Doddington.
During this relaxed and informative session, we will share the story of Doddington’s transformation from conventional farmland to one of the UK’s most pioneering rewilding projects. Wilder Doddington spans 770 hectares, making it the single largest inland nature site in Greater Lincolnshire, with an ambitious 400-year vision for nature recovery.
Across the estate, the landscape is changing rapidly. Roaming Lincoln Red cattle, wild Exmoor ponies and heritage breed pigs are helping to create a rich mosaic of habitats, making more space for wildlife to thrive.

From beetles, butterflies and bats to birds and other wildlife, we will explore some of the species that now call Doddington home. You will also hear more about the processes involved in rewilding, from species reintroduction work to our groundbreaking Wetter Better project.
There will be time to chat with the Wilder Doddington team over hot drinks and biscuits, ask questions and learn more about the work taking place across the estate.

Information
This event is suitable for ages 12yrs+. Guests aged 12-16yrs must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The session will run from 10am–12.30pm.
The event takes place at the Wild House. Ample free parking is available.
EV charging locations can be found at the Grain Store car park.
A hearing loop is available.
We regret that dogs are not allowed in the Wild House, except assistance dogs.
