Our Garden Team have planted up beautiful ‘Coronation Containers’ and created a throne for visitors to sit upon.

Shops, Cafes and Estate Walks open daily.

Lord and Lady Pollington, Later Earl and Countess of Mexborough, with their Son - Joshua Reynolds

This painting hangs in the Long Gallery on the top floor of the Hall. It was commisioned by the Countess’ brother and owner of Doddington, John Delaval, in 1761. Along with their son, a later addition to the painting, they are dressed in their robes for the Coronation of George III.

THE BIG HELP OUT

Monday 8 May, 10am-4pm

In tribute to His Majesty The King’s public service, The Big Help Out will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves.

At Doddington we have teams of dedicated, and in many cases, long-serving volunteers in the Hall, Gardens and Wilder Doddington areas. They are all an integral part of our team and it is their generosity of time that allows us to keep the Hall and Gardens open to the public and work to restore nature to the wider estate.

Why not come along and meet some of our volunteers, who will be available outside the Gatehouse to answer your questions about what it is like to volunteer, what they enjoy most and the legacy they feel they are creating for future generations.

We look forward to welcoming you to Doddington
