Join Rachel of Catkin Flowers and artist Louise Earnshaw for a mindful watercolour workshop, focusing on the beauty of flowers.

Watercolour painting is a highly rewarding and mindful process allowing for experimentation and exploration of techniques. Painting enables you to focus on the beauty of the flowers in front of you, putting everyday life to one side. It allows you to hone in on the details of nature, finding a place of calm and relaxation. It is a beautiful route to increased nature connection.

Rachel and artist Louise Earnshaw have teamed up to run this mindful workshop, to encourage you to focus on the beauty of flowers and express it using watercolour techniques. Rachel will guide you in a mindfulness walk in the gardens and you will harvest flowers from Rachel’s cutting garden which you will use for your watercolour study.

Louise will guide you through a range of watercolour techniques encouraging you to explore your own creative outcomes. You will learn some basic watercolour, colour mixing and observation methods inviting you to look closely at natural forms and details.

The workshop is held in Rachel’s studio in the gardens at Doddington Hall.
