Become a Wilder Ranger as we head out on a minibeast safari adventure, searching for fascinating invertebrates hidden in the woodland, grassland and undergrowth. Armed with bug pots and magnifying glasses, we’ll discover where these tiny creatures live, take part in a safari challenge and learn how to identify different trees and wildlife along the way.
We’ll finish by creating our very own bug hotels to help provide shelter for insects and other small creatures to thrive.

Booking is essential as places are limited. A ticket must be booked for each child attending and all children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult at all times.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
This event is suitable for children aged 3–15. Children under 3 are not permitted on the activity, even if they are not taking part.
The session will last approximately 2 hours and we will start promptly, so please arrive in plenty of time. The meeting place will be sent in advance to those who book.
The session will go ahead whatever the weather (we are hoping for glorious sunshine though). Please check the forecast before setting off and come prepared.
Please dress for the weather and ground conditions. Long trousers and robust walking shoes or wellies that can get muddy are essential for a comfortable visit. Bring waterproofs if it is wet or cold.
No dogs permitted. Much of our wildlife lives on the ground and dogs may disturb nesting wildlife.
