Christmas at Doddington
Coming to Doddington Hall this Christmas: ‘Classic Christmas Cinema’.
Much-loved festive films from across the decades provide the inspiration as Christmas on the big screen is reimagined within the rooms of Doddington Hall.
Journey through three floors of the Elizabethan Hall, where each room sets a new scene. Familiar stories, characters and cinematic details unfold along the way, all reimagined with a Doddington twist.
Expect handcrafted displays, natural materials, playful touches and plenty of movie magic as the Hall is transformed for Christmas once again.
The Hall has seen more than 400 Christmases within its walls and remains a treasured family home today. This is a chance to soak up the seasonal atmosphere, enjoy what the present-day family, staff and volunteers have created and imagine how Christmas here might have looked and felt through the centuries.
Created by Doddington staff, volunteers, local artists and students from Lincoln College, the displays bring together imagination, craftsmanship and a little festive nostalgia, celebrating the Christmas stories we return to year after year.
Explore the Hall at your own pace, with our volunteers on hand along the way, then continue your Christmas visit across the estate with festive food, shopping and seasonal traditions.
Booking is essential and entry to the Hall is by timed ticket only. Please note: the 12pm time slot is reserved for our Access Talk and is exclusively for visitors who are unable to use the stairs to access the upper floors of the Hall.
