Pick Your Own Pumpkins
What makes the perfect pumpkin? Do you like to find the largest one, the roundest one or a gnarled one?
Take your pick of the Doddington Pumpkin Patch this October with thirty different varieties of pumpkins, squashes and gourds to choose from.
Enter via the Gatehouse in front of the Elizabethan Hall and follow our spooky walk through the Kitchen Garden to the Pumpkin Patch.
Wellies are essential as it can get muddy. Halloween fancy dress is, of course, encouraged.
Free entry, pay for what you pick. Prices start from £4 dependent on size. Cash and card payments accepted.
Dogs are not permitted in the Pumpkin Patch but are welcome on leads through the Kitchen Garden and to the Pumpkin Patch gate.
Golden Bottoms
Keep an eye out for golden bottoms! We’ll be hiding some golden bottomed pumpkins in the patch throughout October. If you find one you’ll win the pumpkin, a family ticket to Christmas in the Hall and a 4ft Doddington homegrown Christmas tree so keep your eyes peeled!
Meet Donald
When gathering guords for the patch, we came across the most gigantic pumpkin! Naturally, we named him Donald and put him on display in our Farm Shop. Whilst he’s on display throughout October, we challenge you to guess his weight - guess correctly and you will win tickets to Christmas in the Hall!
When the patch closes, we will also be selling seeds from this pumpkin so you can try and grow your own giant version next year!
