Wilder Wanders: Rewilding Explorers

Step into the wild and discover how nature bounces back.

This family-friendly Wilder Wanders session invites young nature lovers to journey through the diverse, changing habitats of Wilder Doddington. Children will explore woodland and open grassland, looking for plants, animals and signs of wildlife as they discover how the landscape is becoming wilder.

Through fun sensory activities, young explorers will be encouraged to connect with the outdoors and discover first-hand how rewilding is creating vital new spaces for wildlife to flourish.

Important
information

  1. Booking is essential as places are limited. A ticket must be booked for each child attending and all children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult at all times.

  2. This event is suitable for young people aged 3-11. Children under 3 are not permitted on the activity, even if they are not taking part.

  3. The session will last approximately 2 hours and we will start promptly, so please arrive in plenty of time. The meeting place will be sent in advance to those who book.

  4. This is an outdoor session and will go ahead whatever the weather, but may be rescheduled or cancelled if conditions are severe. Please check the forecast before setting off and come prepared.

  5. Please dress for the weather and ground conditions. Long trousers and robust walking shoes or wellies that can get muddy are essential. Waterproofs are recommended if it is wet or cold.

  6. No dogs permitted. Much of our wildlife lives on the ground and dogs may disturb nesting wildlife.

  7. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled.
