Andy Carr

of Lincoln

Born and bred in Lincolnshire, Andy draws constant inspiration from exploring the county’s beautiful Wolds and Fens, observing the rich variety of wildlife that inhabits these landscapes.

Working primarily in metal, Andy uses upcycled cutlery alongside reclaimed farming parts and tools, each sculpture set on a handmade rustic wooden base that accentuates the pieces.

Horses are a particular passion for Andy, and it was his love of these beautiful animals that inspired his first metalwork sculptures around nine years ago. This began with a series of horse busts based on real, living horses.

Since then, Andy has gone on to create a wide range of works now displayed in homes and gardens across Lincolnshire and has also provided metalwork to two beautiful displays at the Chelsea Flower Show.

While horses remain a strong focus, Andy thrives on creative challenge and enjoys pushing his imagination. His diverse repertoire includes squid, stags, kestrels, abstract spiders, and small cutlery sculptures of wrens, robins and wagtails.
