Ian Gill

of Lincolnshire, UK

Ian is an award-winning metal artist based in the Lincolnshire Wolds, who has been creating sculpture for over 3 decades. After studying at Hereford College of Art & Design, he gained the title of AWCB – Associate of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.

His work is held in collections around the world, including Palm Springs, Mumbai, the Czech Republic and Tasmania. Ian has also completed notable commissions for clients such as Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons by Raymond Blanc, and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge.

Standout projects include a sculpture marking the 75th anniversary of Sir Peter Scott, prominently sited on the A38 roundabout and recipient of the CPRE Gloucestershire Award, as well as sculptural bulrushes created for the historic water gardens at Hampton Court Palace.

Ian regularly exhibits at Chelsea and Hampton Court, winning top awards on each occasion, and has served as a mentor for two seasons on the award-winning series Make It at Market. These achievements represent just a selection of Ian’s highly sought-after and respected sculptural works.
