Based in the Lincolnshire Wolds, Ian Gill has been producing works of art for over two decades. He has been awarded the title Associate of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths (AWCB) which is a recognition of the amazing organic sculptures he produces.
Drawing his inspiration from nature and its surroundings, the mediums in which Ian works include forged steel, copper and sometimes stone. Ian's bespoke pieces have been commissioned globally, from Palm Springs and Mumbai to Tasmania and the Czech Republic, to name a few places.
Ian has worked with Raymond Blanc for the Jardin Blanc restaurant at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and has one of his sculptures at Le Manoir in Oxfordshire. Last year, Ian worked on the BBC programme ‘Make It at Market’ alongside Dominic Chinea, being one of the Mentors.
