A local Lincolnshire artist, James lives in Saxilby just a few miles from Doddington Hall. From his studio on Hall Farm in Gainsborough, James works in a variety of metals, bronze and stone, inspired by his love of nature and the emotions it evokes.
After graduating from studying Art at the University of Lincoln in 2005 James began his career as a sculptor. Over the years his work has become more ambitious, taking many directions and experimenting with lots of materials.
His work can be both figurative and abstract, communicating a wide range of influences. Currently, James works mostly to commission, creating personal works for a wide range of clients from private homes and gardens to large pieces of public art for businesses and councils.
