Nichola Theakston

of Lincolnshire, UK

Nichola Theakston is a Lincolnshire-based sculptor, known for her evocative explorations of animal form. Her practice invites viewers to encounter the mutualities of our shared consciousness. Working primarily in ceramic and bronze, her sculptures possess a quiet intensity, often capturing subjects in moments of pause, interiority and contemplation.

While formally grounded, Nichola’s sculptural language leans strongly towards expression, raising questions of consciousness, kinship and the enduring mystery of other species. Each piece seeks to honour the depth and individuality of animal life beyond human narratives.

Nichola works closely with Castle Fine Arts Foundry in Wales, producing lost‑wax bronze editions which she personally patinates. She exhibits predominantly across the UK and Europe and is collected internationally. She is represented by Sladmore Gallery, London; Beaux Arts, Bath; and De Kunst Salon, Utrecht.
