Urgent Notice
Covid restrictions in place

Following the government’s announcement on 12 July regarding the further easing of Covid restrictions, we wanted to tell you about our plans at Doddington from 19 July onwards.

While we are looking forward to being able to welcome more people back to the estate, the health and wellbeing of our visitors and colleagues remains our number one priority. We are therefore taking a cautious and gradual approach to lifting our Covid safety measures

The following will apply from 19 July:

  • Our customer-facing staff and volunteers will continue to wear face coverings indoors.
  • We encourage our visitors to wear face coverings in all indoor settings across the estate (The Hall, shops, catering outlets & facilities).
  • Hand sanitiser will remain in place at entrances across the estate
  • We will continue to monitor visitor numbers in the Hall and retain the preference for timed tickets to be booked online in advance. Gardens only tickets can be purchased on arrival.

We will be reviewing these measures regularly, and update them when we feel it is in the best interests of our visitors and colleagues.

The Elizabethan Hall has recently undergone extensive restoration work to the fabric of the building. This crucial work was a once in a generation opportunity to repair the fabric of the Hall and several large sections of garden wall.

The work has now been completed and the scaffolding has been dismantled.

HALL & GARDENS: The Hall & Gardens are open on Sundays, Bank Holiday Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until 26 September.

SHOPPING: The Farm Shop, Home Store, Farrow & Ball, Country Clothing and Bike Shop are open daily.

EATING: The Cafe and Coffee Shop are open daily for food/drink service. Afternoon Tea is served daily in the Restaurant Tea Room.
