As an animalier, Carol is interested in the muscular form, movement, power, and nature of her subjects, without compromising the anatomical integrity of the sculpture. Casting all her own sculptures to ensure control over the finished piece, commissions include three life-sized wolves in bronze installed at the University of Surrey, a Sumatran tiger cub and a 9-month-old adolescent cub for ZSL London Zoo’s Tiger Territory.
Carol studied at St Martin’s School of Art under Sir Anthony Caro and Phillip King and has over the years exhibited in various national gardens including, Savill Garden, Royal Horticultural Gardens, Wisley, Hyde Hall and Rosemoor, Hillier’s Garden and Hidcote, Mall Galleries, and Doddington Hall.
