Danny Clahane

of Cumbria

Danny Clahane is a sculptor whose practice centres on the carving of stone, working primarily in limestone, slate and marble for exhibition and commission. He trained at Canterbury College of Art before completing an MA at Wimbledon School of Art. Following his studies, Danny worked as an assistant to established sculptors Stephen Cox and Glynn Williams, gaining valuable experience in large‑scale and public work.

Danny has since developed an independent practice, exhibiting widely and building a strong reputation for his sculptural approach to carving. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions and he has completed a range of public art commissions across the UK. These include projects in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Gateshead.

Through his considered use of traditional materials, Danny’s sculptures demonstrate a strong sensitivity to form, surface and place, reflecting both his training and extensive professional experience.
