HAPPY NEW YEAR
Since graduating in 1994, David has been working as a full-time sculptor, creating a diverse body of work. After a chance encounter with the work of the great American kinetic artist, George Rickey, David has been fascinated by kinetic sculpture and its wonderful possibilities.
Using a combination of materials and engineering to get his sculpture moving, David has a love of nature and organic forms and applies these elements in his work to create pieces that move in a unique and absorbing way. While David’s work is on public display at various RHS Gardens, most of his pieces sit in private gardens where they hopefully provide an element of joy and happiness. Simple in form but complex in movement, David is inspired by the natural world and the wonderful fine-tuned forms that surround us.
