Born in Reading, Berkshire in 1959, Martin Hayward‑Harris has been passionate about nature from an early age. He has drawn and painted from life since his teenage years, developing a deep understanding of animal form, movement and character. His commitment to scientific accuracy and artistic expression led him to work at the Natural History Museum in both London and Copenhagen.
Martin’s sculpture Blue Whale is permanently installed on the mezzanine floor of the Whale Hall at London’s Natural History Museum, and his bronze works have received multiple awards. His sculptures have toured extensively across Canada and the United States, with his monumental Peregrine now held in a private American collection. His work has also been recognised internationally, selling through Sotheby’s in New York. Gilded Tiger 2063, a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year, is now part of the permanent collection at the Nature in Art Museum. His studio is based in Oxfordshire, near the River Thames.
The sculptures are coming soon.
