Frances Warren started her artistic career later in life when she moved to South Herefordshire and came across the annual h.Art Open Studios event, where she was able to meet many talented and inspirational artists from across the county. Frances completed a part-time portfolio course at Hereford College of Art, which gave her a taste of what it might be possible to do, before focusing on her specific interests with various local sculptors, stone carvers, blacksmiths, glass and metal artists.
Inspired by a passion for gardening and recycling, Frances crafts striking sculptures that often incorporate recycled glass, stone, and metal. While she’s best known for her bold, larger-scale works designed for outdoor spaces, she also creates smaller, thoughtfully crafted pieces for the home. Her work has been exhibited across the country, reflecting both her artistic range and passion for the natural world.
